Powertrippin' '08
Yeah. Led PT this morning. Had guys rolling in the mud and knee deep water for failing a room inspection twice...it was pretty cool, but tough to keep them all busy and in line at the same time. So after a day of chatting with the LT and a brief smoking session due to some unknown factor I was informed that I need to start taking charge of the guys because the Specialists are "all pretty useless". So that's what I did. And my problem guy refused to form up and do the right thing so I dropped him. He said, "No." After I left the room to grab an NCO to dust this fella he got down and started pushing. He seems to think that I have singled him out from the rest of the crew. Hmm, seems to me that the only guy I have to be on constantly to do the right thing is this dude. Am i singling him out? Probably. After three days here he's been busted smoking, talking on his phone, drinking, and eating in uniform ( no-no in da Army, mang!!). Not to mention disrespecting NCO's left and right like he's special or something. I guess my head got big and I was indeed powertripping. It was fun. I have been informed that I wiil no doubt be an E5/SGT by the time I get back from Iraq. If that happens then my sole mission after that promotion will be to "smoke the piss" out of that guy... Man, I love the Army!!

Sounds to me like this guys bucking a way out. Problem is, sometimes it's better to give them a duffle-bag drag back home, because he's no man. Still a boy. On one hand you might wonder if he's worth the challenge of making a soldier. Yet, do you won't non-discipline in the battlefield. People like him get others killed because he's a distraction to the mission.
El C.
I hope you make it.... I could use the money so that I can live crazy, and spend it left and right. ok, or just take it out and look at it every day, probably more likely right? No powertrips at home, but have at them at work. I am sooooo proud of you, my great big bald squared away soldier!
It's always fun smokin some smartass know it all brat!!!
Good Luck with the E5 SGT promotion! You asked a while back to see some of my paintings, which unfortunately I don't have a lot of pics laying around handy, but if you didn't already know..... The header pic on my site is one of the walls in the dds playhouse done with my spin on a Kadinski. It's a bit distorted due to stretching to fit the header though....... RYC: I've painted a few porcelain goddesses your way...
A-ron I really believe that Iraq is where you need to go. Especially with Andrew gone. Someday when you tell people you were in the army and they ask where you would'nt have any pride in saying Korea. Of course we will be praying for your safety and health and you will surely see awful stuff but you will be doing what you signed up for and you know we all love you. I think you and your personality were made for the army. You are doing good and the higher ups always see it and recognize it. Now you need the title to back you up. Remember to witness to all the dumb and lazy guys. They need you for that also. Love Me
@bearnlbk - I'd just be happy to see the dude square himself away before I have to get stupid with him...but yes, I think he might be dangerous in the combat environment...
@Starwhisperer - You? Spend money? Yeah,right...
@justhopingnow - After E6 its all DA select.I can't wait for that day...
@iamtheclayman - too bad I dint know that these all get posted right on my site..whatta retard...
Hey, thanks for commenting on my post. How long are you in Iraq for? My boyfriend is in the army and is going later this year. Oh, and I happened to see that in your last post, you said something about Stop-Loss being a whacko liberal movie - the director's brother is actually in the army and helped her make the film, so it probably isn't as liberal-biased as you might think. It's really bleak though, so I still wouldn't necessarily recommend it (I got to see a rough cut of it a few months ago).
be safe..wife says you are packing...

@nuanniel - Well, what do I know anyway, right?
