Views From The Singapore Flyer
Last Friday evening, the hubby and I went on The Singapore Flyer, Singapore's latest tourist attraction which opened only in April 2008. It is the world's largest observation wheel. At its highest, it stands 165m above ground and offers panaromic view of the Marina Bay and the city skyscrapers. The flight lasts about 30 minutes and cost SGD30 (USD22).
My honest reviews? Not quite worth the money. Luckily our tickets were sponsored so I did not feel the pinch. The views were not really breathtaking. Yes, there is the Marina Bay but it is no Pacific Ocean. Maybe I am too cynical but I don't see any big deal seeing the city skylines. They are just buildings.
These are the views from The Flyer:

That's pretty high up. I hold my breath on ferriswheels. The city scape is interesting. Thanks for sharing the pictures. You don't look terrified, you look fabulous.
The reminds me of "Eye on KL". LOL. It's quite alike!
Thats too much, I feared height. Good that you didnt feel sick. You live in a very beautiful place. I wish I can visit your place too. Last pic is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
It still looks like a wonderful experience to have even if it was a little on the expensive side. At least you got sponsored tickets!
nice pictures!
i have been to Singapore but the flyer seems amazing ...
thanks for your comment!
Looks good and you take good pictures.... but don't expect me to go on that in this life of mine. I don't care for heights.

Although it's very high up, it's not scary at all because the capsules are enclosed, unlike say hot air ballloon. And it rotates very slowly so you don't feel as if it's moving at all. I am also scared of heights and I don't like roller-coaster rides at all.
@littlelamblittlelamb - Glad to know that you have been to Singapore.
I dunno...I still find the views very breath taking...I would pay $22.00 you say? Nice post thanks.
