polisticky

Today I was watching tons of youtube (great site if you know what you're looking for) and somehow ended up with a couple dozen videos about politics. With the CSPAN thing going on, the question from them is "What is the most important issue to you in the upcoming election?" Well after watching a couple dozen videos I have an opinion too! I was disappointed that I could not share because I don't want to make a video of myself. But here's Xanga!

First off I should point out but don't really want to, that whenever I hear politics my hearing goes numb, I don't like politics, am not very informed about (partly the reason I am writing which is kind of stupid- so what am I saying?), and I don't think I am going to vote. There are so many variables when it comes to those. But let's not make that the issue please, I do have an opinion of what I think is important to me about this, so please consider and hear what I'm gonna say.

For me the important thing is: Now and the Future.
In politics, and in our actions now, it is really foolish to ignore "The Future" especially to younger people!
Well this includes the war, the environment, our reputation with other countries, and of course more, like whether the future president is smart or even flexible enough to handle whatever that happens in the future.

I think America is built on amazing principles, especially freedom, which I think is a thing to be proud of and protected. But look at us now, we're weak, divided in people, economically, even from world view, not that great. And well us being a free country we need to stay strong for the future of ourselves and the world.

I noticed a lot of people consider what is personally affecting and dealing with now to be the biggest factor. and of course they are SO TRULY important. But also- I know sometimes and it's not always the case, they are also things that can change anytime any-president if people think it is important enough?
And I can't just buy into every one campaign completely!
I'm like a 5 year old! except I don't like the phrase, since 5 year olds can be very smart.

I am dizzy in trying to have a politically related opinion, and tired, it's 3. check me please.

and also probably why I used to avoid it

Life is easier when you believe in a god. Even if you just pray to your subconscious. It's easier to find more power and balance and sense that way. Even if you just talk to the air sometimes when you wish for something. Even if your god is love. When you're celebrating, or even when you're talking to a dead person. If.. your god is the kind you go to a church temple or mosque for. Even if your god is something you won't talk about or acknowledge. I could easily believe they are all the same (in idea).

Everyone is different. We all think in different ways and we'll all worship/talk to our gods in different ways, just like the paths we choose to walk in life. Don't argue with that- (if you want to argue methods of worship, you could tell a person how they are justifying their own actions a certain way and how your thought would be better. But maybe they'd be better off if you just let them be.) In all some things stay., Like love and order and community and freedom and what's important now.
..and Faith and courage

So don't forget, sometimes when a word is used, it's meant for us to think about beyond how that word has taken meaning for us. -just like good music and art - plus that's the only way you'd be able to understand me.
Like words like religion. Or many words together when people are trying to say something.

I don't want to argue about god. I hate to fight about religion!
What I just wrote isn't so smooth cause I tried my best to keep it in the way I wrote and meant it.
I can't imagine how many times I must have read a similar
thing and never thought outside of how I immediately took that passage
of words as. So hey!

My parents are getting divorced and it is so ugly. From my mom I read one page of the papers and I was disgusted. I still don't want to get into it. And i'm ok now but I'd still like to write it about it.

My dad has always been pretty controlling and explosive when I was growing up. I argued him the most because I always thought I was right, and it turned out like a fight all the time. When I got older I realized the "arguing" I was doing was pointless and stopped talking to him altogether, unless I wanted to do something like move the furniture, or if I judged that  we might not get into stupid fights again. He's hit my mom a few times before. When maybe half an year ago my mom moved into a different room, I thought he was going crazy. We found out when it was time to pay taxes around 2008 that he was getting in trouble for not paying taxes since 2003. He seems to be ok now with his newfound "zi-jiu method" and I want to believe he changed for the better but he's still being inconsistent. Today he and my mom had a fight about money.
I would never say it was all my mom's fault if I was in any way fucked up, and I'm sure his bad attitude has effected my life.

He made his way on whatever divorce document talking crap about my mom and how he thought I was screwed up because of her.

The thing is, everything written down on this divorce paper is totally twisted. He talks about us renting movies from the library, and my mom letting me watch all the time. The thing is, he's the one who started renting movies, and he watched them with us for the most part. On the divorce paper it says my mom would often have 10 movies rented out at a time. It wasn't like that and it's just as likely that at the same time he would have rented 10 movies out as well.. At that time, he was still telling me to do things all the time but surely he didn't do anything about the movies. He was there the whole time. He didn't do anything, but on paper, it's all my mom's fault.

He's requesting full custody of my brother. He says he's responsible for my brother's education, but really he just started making my brother study with him recently, and from my point of view he's fucking my brother up more than he's helping him. Kids just don't need yelling at all the time.

He totally snaked his way into this just to write on this paper

And you know what?
Most of the time, even though she didn't do anything, she'll read it and buy into it. She'll be arguing the wrong thing all the time. She knew I had an interest in movies and I studied them a lot (but let it be known we watched on average probably 4 movies a week, and when we were borrowing movies, it was summer), and she's looking for my reviews and stuff that I wrote down on them now. But it's really not the thing to argue.
My mom also sucks at English. My dad didn't let her learn that kind of stuff.

What I hate more than anything is this hate and distortion of the truth, how lawfully messy this is, and if I got into something I couldn't fully believe in, how would I bea able to draw a line between what is mine to be responsible for and what I shouldn't be responsible for?

I would like to fix up my post but I have to go.
