| | Well!!! After Much Thought - Thomas made the lovely suggestion/decision and reservations to go to... ATLANTIC CITY NJ~ Weee! Heheee! So we will go up for the night to stay. Hello- Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum,
Mr. Peanut Statue - located 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ,
Lucy the Elephant http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobjagendorf/ and anything else quirky which we can find! I say- Perfectly Tacky and Odd! I am looking forward to some GREAT photo opportunities not to mention ALL of the BATHROOM PHOTOS I could take! Huzzah!
Thank you all for some nifty thoughts and ideas! They made me daydream!
Now- where was I? Ahhh where my head always is these days- Lost in art making and Concocting Curiosities! So when I was out in the studio last night- I continued work on my surface aging. I coated several more shrines with metal paint and let them sit and dry. Then I worked on "fixing" those Patina Nightmares! (I actually think that my studio is on the dry hot side rather than moist... it is just a matter of time and observations- and I should know for sure) Well- I must say- having a fresh night to work on them brought really brilliant results. I took it slow and really worked the patina onto the surface.
(Watch the very exciting video clip here!) Tonight I am going to do more of the same after we go out to dinner with Thomas's grandmother. Okay- I better get moving- I have work to do and some soup to eat- and of course there is always...Gym- uugh!
EDIT: Rant- feel free to ignore... I am not sure I understand something. I go to the gym now each day and I work out for 40 minutes. I watch what I eat: mostly green salads, lean chicken or fish, (no I never made that Mac and Cheese) and I have been know to eat about 20 potato chips as my guilty pleasure- I count the calories and it has been 1000 or less. I take one to two laxatives each day to help keep things moving AND I have changed to drinking unsweetened iced tea, coffee and otherwise just plain water. So WHY can't I seem to break into the 130's? I am sooo close! I am about 1 1/2 pounds away for over 2 weeks. Nothing seems to change. I insist that for my anniversary that I will finally get myself down in the 130's if I have to eat a liquid diet! Uuugh!
Okay- I feel better! GYM was difficult today- mostly because of his choice of music- it was Old Motown- which was SLOW at times and very hard to work to- "Who's the black private dick that's a sex machine to all the chicks? (Shaft!) You're damn right" - Okay, I am done ranting- Off I run again!
