QUICK UPDATE:
I thought I would let you know that my little fish is still alive. He still sees me, knows I am there, and does everything he can to let me know, that he is still fighting. He is such a dear sweet little soul. I love him very much... in these past two weeks he has taught me a lot about "will power". I decided to take a short video to share with you, his unbroken spirit...

more later...

Oh my goodness!! He's still alive!  This makes me happy. Do you think perhaps he's lonely, or would introducing another fish be too stressful for him?  ~ lea

Heee- he has a little friend in there with him- it is a beige fish which cleans the tank. Beige fish likes to hide in the castle. I see him in the evenings sometimes when I come into the room- he quickly runs and hides. I have noticed the Red fish visits him in the castle from time to time- and it makes me think that perhaps he goes in there for comfort. Well that is the story I have made up in my mind which makes me feel better...

Thank you for your post! I will be sure to keep you updated...

Oh dear. In the first video he does look very tired. I didn't really understand until I saw that - I can see why it's tugging at your heart.
I had two fish like that. They didn't live very long. I was told they weren't s'posed to. Although the first one died verrry prematurely. Apparently I had too much water in the bowl (little John was a gift, and I'd gone out to find him more suitable lodgings). When I got home he was gone! It was very curious. I couldn't imagine where he was. The bowl was on top of the fridge, so I knew my dog hadn't eaten him. About an hour later I noticed something on the kitchen floor. It would seem Johnny Newfish had made a leap to freedom... not so successfully.
Not that it has anything to do with this. It was kind of funny, though. There were lots of fish suicide jokes for a while.
Is this making you feel better or worse?
I'm off to Vegas tomorrow. Back in a week.

It's amazing how he reacts to the wiggling of your fingers. People think fish are dumb but I think they are beautiful and smart, and also very special. I love the ocean and everything in it. I wish your fish luck, and if he is going to die, I hope that he is not suffering.

Where is that fish from?
