Weekly Photo Challenge - How Was Your Holiday?
Here is my entry for "How was your Holiday?"
All the following photos were not taken by me, as I am in all of them. They are of me and my friends during my last vacation in the States. We went to Chicago for Spring Break 2007 (against the normal college trend), and I spent all my time there affirming and reaffirming the statement "Boys are silly".
Chicago Field Museum
Presenting statues of African elephants
Comparing dental awesomeness with a scaled-down T. rex.
Bite me!
Me and Ivan, extinction of the dinosaurs. I had my tongue out, but it's hard to see I guess.
Me and Ivan, arm wrestling. This goes to show that Ivan's stronger than a T rex when it comes to arm wrestling.
Imitating a dead gorilla
Me and Cassie, molting cicadas.
Egyptian slave pulling stone blocks with 'Ivan the Terrible' enjoying the ride. Too bad there's no whip around.

Other places around Chicago
In front of Adler Planetarium, against part of the Chicago skyline
I was trying to climb on top of the lion but failed. This photo made it look like I was violating the statue.
Rio de Chicago (Chinatown).
...
I have lots more photos of the Chicago Trip, but I'll leave it hanging here. Tell me if you actually want to see other photos of the Chicago trip.

@maebemaebenot - The Mass Extinction is one of my favorites too! And yes, we are silly, no further proof needed =)
i've been to chicago....chicago airport..hahaha....pitstop from LA to NY...hahaha..
klakar..so, tq for sharing this...at least i can imagine now how chicago looks like...
i don't know why, of all the states i've been, there are 5 states i didn't go including michigan. but i do wanna go, it's just that i don't have the power to say GO.
Your photos are really fun and certainly depict an interesting vacation. Speaking though of violation, I am sitting here wondering if museum guards might have violated the two of you if they had seen some of your activities or is this a touch museum? All in all a holiday for the mentally curious and one I would have enjoyed myself as I love seeing the historic drama of nature unfold in displays (I am also crazy about movies of similar type and among my favorites is the Jurassic Park series). Chicago is quite the place for a holiday, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I've enjoyed the scenery there, more than once.
Have a super week,
you guys have been having a good time, and taking some great photos too
Some funny stuff!
Holidays are for fun and you and your friends look like you had a lot of fun . Really nice pics, thanks for taking me to Chicago
@PhotoGraphics - we did not transgress nor did we touch anything that was not allowed to be touched... =) so we had a lot of fun in the Field Museum.
You have a sweet sense of humour. I enjoyed looking at these pictures--I got a good chuckle out of them.
@Southeast_Beauty - hehe yes... I may be 25, but I act half my age sometimes. Life is so much more fun that way.
Very nice pics n u look really enjoy with that trip.
stop violating the lion!
RYC: "light and quiet" would be the literal translation. means no gas or stuff like that in it.
Looked like you were having a great time. I spent a few days in Chicago visiting Sister Five in hospital. So I didn't get to see much of the city only what was along the travel route into town and along the interstate. It would be nice to visit again, but not in the winter; it's not called the Windy City for no reason.
awesome shots!
btw
