Some tips on how to jump from a rooftop to a tree
From observing a monkey.
1. Keep your hands together flat like a rudder to guide yourself to your arboreal destination.
2. Always overestimate your jump --- aim higher and further.
3. Keep both eyes open. Helps with the depth perception.
4. It helps a lot when you are actually in shape and have hand-like feet.
5. Ignore the pesky photographer with his lousy camera. Especially when he does not have food in his hands.

For Weekly Photo Challenge --- Magazine Covers, I'd name the magazine Arboreal Three-Weekly or something like that.

EDIT:
Timages' last comment gave me my 1234 credits. I've been hovering around this number for quite a while, giving Minis whever I got over. Now that I got it I can finally move on now.

Observing a monkey ke ?
Bukan besan yang kene tangkap gambar?
its a great shot.
Yes it is a great shot, one you would like to get a chance at yourself. I keep trying for the unusual with the normal animals we run across. I hope for some zoo shots sometime soon.
Have a great week,
Sepandai-pandai monyet melompat, yang kisah cuma jurukamera~
Orang lain yg pegi pantai tak heran pun
XD
u tried doing the jump monkey-style before?
@Timages - @PhotoGraphics - Thanks. I actually took a couple of shots before landing this one. Monkeys move around pretty quickly.
@WristBandMan - Sebab there were lots of monkeys at the beach, people have learnt to ignore them I think. =)
@maebemaebenot - not from tree to tree. Into the swimming pool, yes. When I was much much younger and with my XY cousins. We were quite uncontrollable back then. =)
hah,u should do that , i mean post up ur pic jumping like that..rather than the monkey's pic...hehehe
Great shot! Thanks for sharing.
creative idea here!
Great shot! And thanks for the tips!
Hehe. Cuuuuute monkey! =)

One for the Library!!
Hahaha you're great you know that.
I saw this pic on Xanga front page. Congrats on being Featured! It's an interesting observation. We always take these primates for granted. We just didn't realise how similar they are to humans and vice versa.
Some monkeys can really jump hey!
Nice stop action shot. Was that digital or film? Did you have to cope with shutter lag.
@Yogi616 - it was digital. and yes because of shutter lag it required perfect (read:lucky) timing since I used a borrowed point-and-shoot. I have one failed shot where all you can see was some sky and the monkey's legs and tail.
@Southeast_Beauty - am I? hehe thanks!
Great action shot. Those are tough to get but you did an excellent job.
