| | So I'm back in Chicago, back at work, and I really wish I had more time in L.A. (not to mention more money, to really enjoy myself ;)) Toddrick and Maggie were successfully married, and all is well in the world. I would have to say that my highlights of this long weekend would have to be Spago, Seeing a dolphin in the ocean, and hanging out in Malibu waiting for the wedding right on the water.
Spago: had the 8 course tasting menu. The first course comprised of 8 different amuse buche... right off the bat, a great start! Our waiter was relaxed yet very attentive and added to the overall night. I think we were at one point being served by Wolfgang's brother if that's possible, same build, same accent, same features. Christy, around course number 6.5 couldn't possibly eat another bite, I tried to help a little but I didn't want to fill up before dessert!!!
Dolphin: While staring out the window during the reception, saw it clear as day. A single Dolphin like you'd see doing a dolphin show. It was just swimming along, coming up to the surface once in a while. Very cool. I like nature!
Malibu: I like the water, I like the hills, I just wish I could live in Malibu and have them both... maybe without the smog... and without the high price tag associated with water front property anywhere, let alone Cali.
So I guess if Christy's fashion career took us to L.A. as it might just do someday, I wouldn't mind at all.
Started reading through the teachings of Buddha. I'm not converting religions or anything, just a little curious. It's very interesting actually. There's no good or evil, things are just there.
