Nothing really exciting has been going on really, hence my lack of writing anything down. Christy has been in St. Louis since Thursday afternoon, and since then I’ve been pretty pathetic. It’s amazing how her leaving has kinda left me in a very lonely place. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t been hiding under the covers waiting for her return, it’s just that she is my best friend and it sucks that she’s not here. I’ve been keeping fairly busy by working and hanging out with friends, but it just doesn’t compare. She gets back Tuesday night… I can’t wait!

Talking about keeping busy and whatnot, I just don’t feel like cooking for just me, so Friday I invited a guy from work over to eat before we went to see a local band play. This guy is always broke. I knew that he loved steak so I got us a couple nice thick fillets cut from a small tenderloin roast. I made them nice and medium rare… leaning towards the rare end of the scale. He was in heaven. Little did I know that he just doesn’t do veggies… otherwise there would have been more yummy Brussels Sprouts with mustard vinaigrette for me ;) He did eat up the Parmesan Mashed Potatoes though.
