• Hell Week

  Allow me to share you my burden that has been lifted off my back just today...

  So today concludes hell week.  Yes, my friends, I've just been severely beaten by classes, my brain ripped and torn out of my cranial cavity, and my body purged and exhausted.  I am left with the scar of indecent scores... Currently I'm taking four... almost five classes: Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Physics/Physics lab.  And this week, I had three midterms and one quiz... which also counts as a midterm... Therefore in short, I had midterms in all my classes this week..  This is not typical of a college student, but I guess is typical for a college student whose professors held a convention to ruin that student's college career... There goes my hopes of 3.5 or higher gpa.  I'd be surpised if I even got a 3.0 this quarter.

  Let's recap my midterm grades this far, with curves
  Biology: A- and n/a
  Chemistry: C+ and B-
  Calculus: B+ and n/a
  Physics: A+, D, D
  .... oh wow.. my physics scores spell out ADD...

  This is how I feel about each class. 
  Biology: I love the class, as I must learn to because it's the basis of my major... It's all memorization and concepts, but mainly memorization, which comes easy to me because I have been exposed to this practice every since kindergarten..
  Chemistry: It's all about knowing the formula and when to us it... Some concepts are necessary for the midterms, but otherwise, it's just, as my friend calls it, "plug and chug".
  Calculus: It's my happiest class right now.  I enjoy it (because I get it) and I've devoted a lot of time to it.  I guess it really helps when you like your professor...
  Physics: Not only does the material stink, but so does the professor.  The professor regurgitates the lectures that he has posted online, except when it's in person, the professor mumbles and often times does not know where his topics and examples are leading to...

  This week yet again confirms my poor work ethics when overwhelmed. 

  On a positive note, I have nothing to do at work right now and so I can manage to write a blog.  And... I'm skipping chem lecture because I dont have the will to go and I need to get home early tonight... Yea, I'm going back to L.A.  I refuse to bring any educational item with me... I will bring clothes and clothes only. I will enjoy this weekend like I have just finished my finals...

  Also, I was offered the job that I had an interview for two weeks ago... All this means is that I'm going to balance three jobs and school over the summer...

  Lastly, this sunday is Mother's Day.  I ordered my mom flowers over the internet and had them shipped to her work yesterday... They were planted tulips but for some reason my mother thought that it was just the tulips and the moss where the flowers were implanted were fake... So she kept picking at the flowers until she realized that they were actually planted.  Intelligent, mother.  She told me that I shouldn't have done it because it was too expensive, but I told her that since I forget to appreciate her everyday, I might as well spoil her on the day dedicated to every mother... in advance.
