Wow... hello to the long-lost xanga world!
So... I've been busy since you all heard a real update from me! Last time I REALLY updated, I had just left the DTC back in March and I was starting with a web design company. I posted when that fell through in April too... but that's about it.
So... it's been since April 22nd since most of y'all have heard from me and my life has taken a 360 degree turn since then!! I'll post this in list format because there's so much - if you want to know more, message me and I'll /try/ to get back to you - no guarantees though! I'm a busy man!
Well, okay, so not all of it is in list format... I'll tell you the most important thing first - no list. Most of you know this but I'll write it out anyway. Most of you know that I went on choir tour in late march... got to spend time with friends - get to know them better, etc. Well... little did I know! One of those friends that I got to know better was Grace Dobbs. Had kinda met her chatting online - knew her from choir... but hadn't really gotten to get to know her. Well, her and I had had some misc talks on skype before choir tour, and I thought she would be a good friend - so I set out to get to know her. Had a good trip, talked with Grace and got to know her better - texted back and forth a little between buses. Came back from choir tour with her as a good friend. Due to my interaction with her, some jokes were beginning to go around that we were "an item" - we didn't care... didn't really see each other in that way. That was all about to change! We kept talking on IM, finding out that we were actually quite alike - and had a lot of the same goals. Well a couple of weeks went by and we were head over heals in love!! We officially began a courtship in June. We both had the same goals, had most of the same standards and had a deep, God-given love for each-other that was QUICKLY discovered! LIFE HAS BEEN A ROLLERCOASTER SINCE THEN!!!!!!!!! Love is SO awesome but is SUCH a challenge!! Can't even describe it - all I can say is that when you're in love, YOU WILL KNOW!!! HAVE FUN!
I will update you all when there is news past that. Right now, we're just growing in love for each other and learning more and more about each other!
As for everything else:
May:
- Turned 22
- Started a freelance job with meetfish.com
June:
- Went on mission trip with Fairpark Baptist Church
July:
- Started looking for a more full-time job
Late August:
- Found an ad for a HTML programmer and applied
September:
- Interviewed with AM Design (http://www.amdesign.com)
- Started working with AM Design as a HTML and PHP Programmer
October:
- not much aside from work work work!
So, that's it in a nutshell. And I'm dead-tired... and a little disappointed about something... so I'm headed to bed. Once again, I will try my best to respond to any comments or messages!
Talk to y'all later!
-Josh

From my quiettime this morning...
I'm sure most of you are familiar with the method of reading Psalms and Proverbs by starting on the current day in Psalms and reading every 30th chapter, and reading the Proverb that is the same number as the day. This morning, the Lord really opened up His Word to me (I prayed that He would, what should I expect?!)... here is what I have to share with y'all from Psalms.
Psalms 2
Highlights:
- God laughs when man says that they have more power than him. (vs. 4)
- All we have to do as "kingdom heirs" with Christ is ask and God will "give thee the heathen for thine inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth for the possession"! (vs. 8)
- "Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling" (vs. 11)
- "Blessed are they that put their trust in Him (the Son)" (vs. 12b)
Question to think on:
- Have we set our God and King on His rightful throne in our lives? (vs. 6)
Psalms 32
Highlights:
- The whole chapter!! Seriously!
- Have we done our part to confess all of our sins to the Lord? (vs. 5)
Psalms 62
Highlights:
- Power belongs to God - He is in control (vs. 11)
- How MUCH do we trust God?
Psalms 92
Question to think on:
- Do we allow ourselves to show through our lives that God is upright? (vs. 15)
Psalms 122
Highlights:
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

What Could Be Better
see relatedWhat Could Be Better?
I've heard it said today
Is all we're given
Tomorrow may not come
So you better start living
I guess it all depends
On your point of view
Pardon me if I
Just don't listen
To everything the world
Say's I'm missing
There's nothing here and now
I'm gonna hold on to
I'm living in the days ahead
I'm already dancing on the streets of gold
Can't stop celebrating in my soul
I'm living in the days ahead
Nothing on earth could ever compare
Can't wait for the day when I get there
When I see Jesus face to face
Tell me what could be better
Tell me what could be better
If home is where the heart is then I'm in Heaven
It's the promise of tomorrow
That I've been given
Who is waiting there I am living for
He's everything I love
And I believe in
And I can hardly wait
Just to see Him
And hear Him say well done
I couldn't ask for more
I'm living in the days ahead
I'm already dancing on the streets of gold
Can't stop celebrating in my soul
I'm living in the days ahead
Nothing on earth could ever compare
Can't wait for the day when I get there
When I see Jesus face to face
Tell me what could be better
Tell me what could be better
Life is full of ups and downs
Inside outs, round and rounds
Can't blame me for dreaming about it
I'm living in the days ahead
I'm already dancing on the streets of gold
Can't stop celebrating in my soul
'Cause I'm living in the days ahead!
Nothing on earth could ever compare
Can't wait for the day when I get there
When I see Jesus face to face
Tell me, what could be better?!
Tell me, what could be better?!

Time of My Life

13 hours at Six Flags and 14 hours with very special people (or rather, a very special person
) does something to one's stomach that isn't soon to leave it
joy... excitement... exhaustion... dizziness... spinning... peace... all those emotions and feelings tied into one... not sure what to call that one
