Isn't it funny how quickly one's day can turn?  Case in point: A few moments ago, I read a news article about the Al-Qaeda "mastermind" of the bombings in London back in 2005 having recently died of hepatitis in Pakistan.  Admittedly, I would rather he had been snuffed out by a hellfire missile fired from some drone controlled by a pimple-faced ensign in Colorado, but then we can't have everything in life, can we?  Anyway, for a moment I felt that justice had in some way been served, and was pleased with the world around me.
As I said, that was a few moments ago.  Right after reading that article, however, I came across something else in my in-box.  What, oh what, to my wondering eyes should appear?  Nothing less than a jubilant and gushing e-mail from dear mademoiselle Rouffet announcing as if to a field of Judean shepherds that Vice President of the World, Dr. Joseph P Q R Dimitrov, XVII, has now been dubbed (in an act of unending humility and surprise to all involved, no doubt) Grand High Lord and Master of the poor souls of Continental Theological Seminary (an institution of impeccable standards and lofty educational accomplishments).  President Dimitrov.  Kinda makes you want to lock your bedroom doors at night, doesn't it?

    hehehe.. you are evil JD..

yes, I was extremely surprised reading the letter!! About as surprised as a cow with the taste of grass which it has been eating her whole life.

I just feel sorry for the poor people who had to waste their time on the presidential election committee..

Do you think the academic dean will now go back to being called "academic dean" instead of the silly "vice president of education" thingy..

greetings from snowy but sunny Iceland.

    Hey!

I really need to write you an email, but I do not have your adress. Do you have mine? Please write me and then I have yours....

Andre and me might be in Washington next week and I was wondering whether we could somehow meet you or whether you would like to come with us to that big museum with the declaration of independence. (We really want to see it.) So, please contact me soon! We would love to meet you!

(I just don't think that it is wise to post me email here, and I cannt figure out how to sent one of these messages on here. Sorry! )
