  Mattastic rode up and down this hairpin probably six times...it's THAT much fun.
  When you leave Longmire (in Rainier Park) it's 12 miles up hill to thevisitor center then down hill until you reach Box Canyon where youstart pedaling uphill again and where I was exhausted. The allergy medswere still coursing through my veins. I thought I was going to fallasleep on my bike. So we turned around to climb out of the canyon. Yup,10 miles up. Awesome.
  
  When we got back to the hairpin it took all the self-control I couldmuster to not unclip from my pedals and kick Mattastic off his bike(it's a lot funner to ride down than up). Over the 10 minutes it tookme to ride up he went up and down it 2 or 3 times like the hyper-activekid on your youth group hike that runs up and down the trail ahead ofyou.
