@roughstring414 - the I's have it, the motion is carried.

  • jimwilloughby

How you like my new pitcha?

  • stephensmustang

You are such a neat man.  I like the new profile pic. You look relaxed and happy. PLUS there are tons of books around you.  You MUST be a great guy w/all those books!

  • singinglynnie

I love it!!! (both)  Have a great day!

  • msmarie0106

@roughstring414 - Man has he got you fooled!!!!

  • msmarie0106

Sorry Jimmy, I couldn't resist.  I do like the "Short Story" though....

    Love,

    Your dearest sister....

  • stephensmustang

@msmarie0106 - Now if that's not a sisterly reply, I don't know what is LOL.

  • jimwilloughby

@roughstring414 - lots of these are CDs too. I am truly a great guy. So far, nobody realizes it except you and I. Even my wife of 46 years, does not realize that she is married to a "treasure."

  • jimwilloughby

@msmarie0106 well I think it was quite to the point and had one basic message, That's what a short story is, as opposed to a novel, ya see. I may look it, but  I'm not totally illiterate. I could write a sonnet, about your Easter bonnet if I wanted to, but I don't want too.

  • jimwilloughby

@singinglynnie - Thanks Lynn-did you like this one as well as the cell phone one?

  • jimwilloughby

@roughstring414 -Gosh Elizabeth thanks. I love my books and CDs. Read and listen says I, and go plant some flowers. I believe you have given me the impetus to put a couple of pictures of my peonies on display for the entire cyberspastic world to ponder. Look for my next exciting blog soon to arrive in your local theatre.

@jimwilloughby - I can't wait to see the pics. . AND, you and I knowing what a 'treasure' you are is a start. I'm sure others will catch on pretty soon.  If not, I'll keep telling them until they do.

    You're awesome!

    @roughstring414 - trudat!

You are a funny girl says I.

I spent most of yesterday with my Nephew, Daniel, my dear sisters, son. He helped fill me in on the current jargon.

I may have alread posted this somewhere, if I did, you now have two copies..

I was asking about current jargon:

    60- everything was "cool."

    next came "awesome."

    Now it "trudat."

If someone says something to you that you agree with, you are supposed to say "trudat."

I said it and used it so much yesterday that Daniel said he was sorry he brought me into 2008. He didn't really mean it. He keeps me feeling like I know what's happening. Hey----What's Happening."' I think that was slang, jargon sometime back in some earlier time period.

I wish for you dreams of beautiful horses, beautiful healthy, happy, joy filled children and I suggest you go "plant some flowers." You'll be rewarded doubly; be sure to get "the right dirt.'

    Uncle JIm

You are the most friendly xanga friend, other than family members that I've met. I'm sending you and all expence paid trip to the place of your choice for two, for a 10 day vacation. Hoever, with your schedule, you'd never work it in, so I'll just have to send you a Mini'

    Uncle Jim

  • jimwilloughby

@msmarie0106 - I think I feel a conspirisency(spell it yourself)  coming on. I majored in music, not spelling.:))

  • jimwilloughby

@roughstring414 - You said you like mysteries. I do too. Maybe we have some of the same favorite authors or not. (well, hell, it's got to be one or the other says I. )

I'll  tell you mine if you'll tell me yours.\however I can't do that tonight; I'm sleepy I'll send them tomorrow.

Sleep good and be kind to birds.

@jimwilloughby - And you think I'm humorous. I think you are the humorous one.  Okay (I'm going to date myself a bit here ) but Agatha Christie is my ALL time favorite.  I actually collect her books. I like James Patterson, Elizabeth Peters, Mary Higgins Clark...I could go on, but how much time do you really have to read all these authors?.  Pretty much, I just like mysteries.  Now..I've told you mine....

  • stephensmustang

@jimwilloughby - I seriously don't think I can bring myself to say 'truedat" (which should make Daniel happy) lol.  I think I'll stick to cool.  All things eventually come back around--our teens actually say cool--they just spell it 'kewl'.  Happy Sunday to you. Oh and about the mini--I'll take what I can get.

  • jimwilloughby

@roughstring414 - well, well, well, Notice that I wrote it; I can't pronounce it. I'm glad you'll take the mini-I'm sending you a "mega." I bet you didn't know I could do that. I've searched this place high and wide to see if they had one Could not find it. If you   have a mini, why in this world would you not have a mega for those really special folks.   As soon as they are available, you'll get my second one; my first goes to my Sister Donna.

I had a wonderful Sunday. About 25 classmates  from HS graduation 1959 came to our house last night for a 50th reunion planning session-we had a good meeting and eating session; met for lunch today and got a lot done./////// Friends:God really gave us something there, don't you think?

    Uncle Jim

  • stephensmustang

I agree about the mega.  Friends AND food. Sounds llike a pretty awesome day to me.

  • jimwilloughby

@roughstring414 - Hi, can't catch up today; we're at my son's house ad have a sick grandson. We're  baby sitting so they can work. I'll tell you my mystery writers,etc... later. Have a good week.

    uncle jim

  • stephensmustang

How are you? How's the grandson?

  • stephensmustang

Miss hearing from you. Hope all is well.

  • gmcdaniel85

@roughstring414 - You don't have to say it on my count... It came into the conversation when we were discussing annoying trends.  I would much prefer our culture to return to the language of the late 1700s.  Madison, Jefferson, and Burke knew how to paint a picture with words.  The power of words has regrettably been largely abandoned.

Norwegians learn Norwegian; the Greeks have taught their Greek.
In France every Frenchman knows his language fro "A" to "Zed"
The French never care what they do, actually, as long as they pronounce in properly.
Arabians learn Arabian with the speed of summer lightning.
And Hebrews learn it backwards, which is absolutely frightening.
But use proper English you're regarded as a freak.
Why can't the English learn to speak?
    ~ My Fair Lady

  • stephensmustang

Daniel, Hi, It's nice to connect with you. I correct people's English all the time; although it's not nearly as appreciated as it should be. LOL The English will never learn how to speak.  I will stick to 'cool' and 'cooley dooley', as I like the way they sound.
