  • Baseball, Hot Dogs, etc.

Hitting While the little one was sick last week, I took the time to go to my sons State Regional Championship and watch Tyler play T ball. I was the outstanding player in the Little League Allstar Game in our fair city in 1952. Please don't forget that.

    So, how did Tyler do?
What did the doctor say? Are you feeling better?  Is this trip to CAL. for fun? Inquiring minds, Uncle Jim...inquiring minds.

Tyler did great in the games. I got to go to two. The little one is the sick one; now me. Dr. said I had sinisitus and a mile case of pneumonia. I knew I was sick-but he gave me all kind of "stuff" and said it would take care of it.

Yes dear, the trip to California is for fun. You know me well enough now to know that everything I do is for fun Here's the kicker; we are going with my college room mate and his wife. We have been friends since we were in the Redcoat Band at Georgia in 1960. He was an outstanding Band Director in the State of Georgia and I wasn't too bad my self.

I had a teacher at Georgia who was a pioneer in the field of team teaching; instead of music for a guarter, lit. for a quarter. art for a quarter, etc. he propsed and wrote the book on what ever this is called; can't recall the name. But he is the only many I've ever met who knew as much literature as he did music. We studied. a piece of music, then read a literary work that was in the same form( for example, a Bach Fugue, starts out with one subject, the other continues as a counter melody, and so forth; we'll he'd give us books to read that were written in that style. WOW. Inquiring minds do want to know. That was one of his favorite expressions. "Now, for any of you individuals with an inquiring mind, you might want to take a look at this over the weekend.' I made an A in his class and will love him forever, even if I can't remember his name at the moment. He looked British, had long hair, and wore loaffers to class. I thought that was so cool. Matter of fact, I thank you are so inquiring and so cool.

Be sure and take all that 'stuff'" so you'll get well soon.  I hope you are planning on taking pics and posting while having fun in CA.

How fun! When I was young my parents signed me up for T-ball (or softball...don't really remember).  They tell me the first day of practice it was raining and I said, "Ew, I have to play in the MUD?" So that was the end of that.

Ha! Came to your site and thought I was about to be POUNCED on!  Cute kitty!  I won't forget you being the outstanding player on your little league team if you won't forget my being the outstanding scoring machine on my pee wee Basketball team  We beat one team 116 -0 that was Four 5 minute quarters on 8 foot goals  We had a SMOKIN church team that year and went to the semi finals of the CITY, not church league. I wasn't a shabby pitcher at that age either, but I gave up baseball in ninth grade. Hope all is well, and that little one is doing better! Cya!

I'm just now getting around to catching up on some of my subscriptions.  Of course, yours came first.  Kay said you are feeling better.  HOPE SO!

Good pictures.  Oh, since you told them you were the outstanding player in 1952, you need to also tell them that you are an EAGLE SCOUT.  Am I correct?  Proud of my brother!
