| | I just finished off the last of the eggnog. There is still some
apple pie and a small slice of pumpkin pie left. My mom came down
on Wednesday and will be here through Sunday. My sister came over
yesterday morning and she and I helped my mom prepare a wonderful
Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy,
cranberry sauce, carrots and the aforementioned pies for dessert.
My brother took the bus down from Portland and we dined out in the
covered patio...the table out there is much bigger than my dining room
table. My brother had to work today so he hopped on a bus at 6:15
a.m. headed back up to Portland. Tonight we had leftovers from
last night...and there are probably enough leftovers for dinner again
tomorrow night. If I survive the next few days, I think I will
have to start on a pretty serious diet. It's hard to believe that
less than two months ago I was in marathon-running shape.
