| | Well, the deed has been done. I sent my beloved an e-mail (about
two minutes ago) asking him out. I fine tuned my message and even
improvised a bit as I was writing. I left it pretty open, saying
it didn't need to be a "date", but that I just wanted to get to know
him better. Anyway, I'm hoping for a positive response, but
prepared for rejection. And actually, I'm sort of expecting an
unexpected response. As I've said, I'm really horrible at know
what people think of me, and the truth is, my beloved probably doesn't
feel the same way about me as I do about him and I'm pretty sure he
doesn't think I'm a terrible creep. So I probably won't get an
enthusiastic YES, or an absolute "Leave me alone and never talk to me
again". I tried to be kind of funny, but my humor is pretty darn
subtle and dry and I don't think translates well into print.
We'll see.
