Not Quite There

This evening after work, I got all the wiggle boards put down and two of the remaining four clear panels put up.  I probably would have had time to do the last two panels if not for my baby brother who called me around 6:30.  I don't think I've talked to him since Christmas, so it was a welcome call.  He was hanging out in a club in Portland last night and who should come through the door but Blowfly.  I have an amazing record he made in 1980 called "Rapp Dirty".  There was a definite chill in the air today and it occurred to me that I have no heat and it's going to be one darn cold winter if I don't do something about that soon.  I called a roofer yesterday and left a message...I haven't heard back.  I have an electrician in mind for me heat, but if I go with the system I want to, I will probably have to do some of the work myself as the only authorized installer for that system is the one who gave me a ridiculously high quote.  At the very least, I will need my service upgraded to handle the extra amps an electric heating system will require.  The gentleman from whom I received the quote quoted me $2500 for that portion of the job...I'll be curious to see what another electrician will want for that same work.  That's all for tonight.  I've been unusually tired at work the last couple days.  I'm really looking forward to Sunday.  A day off with no roof work would be quite welcome indeed.
