What I have been doing in regards to art:

Still doing ACEO's and experimenting in styles...This is one of my "bigger" pieces I've been working on. It kinda makes me think I'm crazier then I've been giving myself credit for. This isn't a great picture of it, sorry...but it's not done and I see no need to show you the thing perfect. :) I just thought some of you might get a kick out of seeing something in progress. I always do! At one point I thought this was done...and then I started painting again. I'm not sure what the final outcome will be like. When I'm done with it, I'll explain more of it. Hee.Figuring out how to take a few old pieces and turn them into little ACEO prints. I have a friend who has a pretty amazing inkjet printer that made these up for me and I'm trying my hand at selling them. Wouldn't you like to have a little piece of Miriam stuck in your wallet to look at when you're down or moody? ;) You can see them in my etsy shop here.
And in the really unfinished department:
This is also turning out very similar to the last one in that I had gone a whole other direction, didn't like it, painted over it, HATE this. Hah. The thing is....this is how I paint. I love picking up pieces of previous stuff everytime I pick up the brush. That layering upon layering of paint, translates into layering upon layering of thought. And I like that. But this...noooo...it will most likely be REALLY different in the final analysis...but we'll see.
This is what I worked on today. I wish I had thought to try my hand at taking pictures along the way before I covered this one up with another idea a few weeks ago. But I've been itching to get back to it. It was a tree underneath it, and there's a good chance the tree might resurface. ;) I took this pic before I started painting....and then I took what I achieved so far today...
I did know that this is the direction I was going to go with this. Now I have to stew over it some more.I also did a lot of weeding and gardening in the yard today. H. and I managed to plant a tomato plant. I love our yard so much. We're still brewing about "what to do". Who knows...maybe we'll just stay put. I wouldn't complain.
It's very rainy like today...without the rain. I keep expecting it at any moment. I love days like this when it's also warm enough to be outside. We're supposed to go to a graduation party of a friend out at the lake. It started half an hour ago, but my boys are both snoozing in the living room...don't want to deny them that luxury. :)

The day sounds far to relaxing to wake them up and head. I am glad you paint.
I too really like to see the works as they grow.
That top right ACEO strikes me as a woman with red curly hair!
I like seeing stuff in progress.
Every morning hubs and I look at your piece and talk about it, and what we see in it that particular morning.
I have so much gardening to do. Our yard is a mess!
Happy Mother's Day!
