  • I have a sinus infection or some such thing...didn't I just have a cold?
It doesn't make me really want to do much of anything.
I've discovered that it is an absolute fact that taking care of a little boy who wants to do, do, do....is very hard when you have a stinkin' sinus infection.
    But he's the cutest!

I'm not sure but I think the red mark is a "KISS" reference...

    Art...
well I've joined in w/ a bunch of other ACEO artist's on Etsy to have a sale this weekend.  Ifn's you're interested it's free shipping for me on everything...larger pieces included...you can go to my shop to check it all out exactly.
www.juneblue.etsy.com. I'm also offering buy one original ACEO and get a print ACEO of your choice for free...  :)

I have painted a bit more on the big grassy painting.  I'm feeling a little odd about the personal commitment I made to show you each time I sit down and work on it....which is funny because it makes me realize a whole bunch of things about my painting that I had never thought of before because I always took it for granted.  The whole "personal" aspect to it.  But I made myself this promise that I would persevere in showing this big blue grassy thing to you as it went along, even if it changes into green or something.  :)  So here's a couple of more in the progression....

Nothing looks stunningly different, but there is a lot more blue!  :)

My husband graduated w/ his MLS last weekend.  Huzzah!  Did I mention this?  It's been a string of crazy weekends here and I'm just happy that there is nothing going on this weekend for a change.  I've started a garden.  Little late to plant, but not too bad.  I got bogged down w/ it once the sinus thing and the buckets of snot hit though.  ;)

I love David Cook and had been rooting for him from the get go.  He's from my neck of the woods for one thing.  Yes, I bet you didn't know I was an avid American Idol fan, did you?  This is the first time the one I wanted to win won.  Well...that's not true...I liked Taylor Hicks too, but I don't know that I thought he should have won.  Anyway, David Cook has an incredible voice.  I know he's all rocker and all that, but when I saw him sing Andrew Lloyd Webber I realized that he had some sort of theatrical training as a kid....and I'm telling you he is a great spokesperson for WHY the arts as a child can turn out to be good for you.  Celebrity gets lost in how it looks, and doesn't search for people with actual talent it seems.  That's my take on it anyway....so more power to David Cook...I wish him well!

I know I'm supposed to do a meme about seven things about me....and I know that I wanted to answer the Internet Island's newest topic of what makes me unique...

But now I've bored myself w/ my Idol chatter so I'll save that for the next post.  Maybe even later today.  I am blissfully alone for the first time in a couple of weeks.  R. just took H. to the grocery store w/ him!  Yay!

Did somebody just have Chinese food?

I had Chinese with my daughter the other night, and I had 2 fortunes in one cookie, both with different sets of lucky numbers.  Alas, they weren't lucky last night.  Interesting fortunes: "You have the ability to analyze and solve any problem."  and  "Listen these next few days to your friends to get answers you seek."  Don't know what answers I'm seeking, but if number one is true, then I shouldn't have any trouble.
I've enjoyed watching your art in progress, and you're so right: H is the cutest.
Congratulations to your hubby for completing his program.  Any more word or thoughts on moving?

I was glad to see David Cook win, too.  He really could sing in so many different styles, I hope he doesn't just want to do loud rocker shouty linds of stuff.

I love that you are sharing your work at the different stages of development.  The sinus thing is a drag.  It can take a while to shake, I know.  So wonderful that your husband has graduated.  I am sure that is a very good feeling for all in the JuneBlue abode!!
