  • Sleepy Time

    Slumber parties are fun.

    Unless they're at work.

Especially if they involve pillow fights in your underwear. (those are mandatory, right?)

Or...if you're just trying to figure out why a piece of equipment won't run...all...night...long.

    Bleh.

    G'night.

  • By the Balance

Who knew that I could have my work and personal life in balance?

Life is really, pretty good right now.

My projects are on schedule, my foot is finally healing up, and I think I just might be finally getting a handle on this dating thing.

  • Same 'Ol Stuff...Different Apartment...(again)

     This is pretty self explanatory...

My parents brought up this table from home when they came up to help me move.  I love it!  It's so nice to have a real table to eat at and put multiple chairs around.  Okay...obviously way too many chairs for myself.  But the more the merrier!

The main highway is actually past those trees.  It's a ways off, but you can still hear the traffic.  I don't mind it.  The trees mute the noise, and the noise reminds me that there's still life going on beyond the trees.

4th time's the charm, right?  I'm really enjoying this apartment.  It's quiet, clean, roomy, has a usable kictchen(!), 10 minutes from work, and still near shops, stores, and restaurants.  I'm hoping to remain here for at least another year.  I'm so tired of having to move out of a place after just one year.  Moving is okay, but not every year.

I have a hairline fracture on the 5th metataursal (sp?) of my right foot.  The doc says it's no big deal, and will heal up on it's own in 3-4 weeks.  He told me to keep it wrapped and keep icing it, as well as elevating it, for the time being.  It may not be such a big deal, but it still hurts like hell to walk around.  Actually, the last couple of days, the pain has subsided from the top of the foot and is now only at the very edge of the foot where the fracture is located.

I'm trying to find new ways of keeping myself entertained since I'm not supposed to be moving around much, or as little as I can.  And I really haven't been very successful at that endeavour.  Any ideas???
