Thailand Trip - 1

Last March i have been to Thailand. It was such a great experience for me. There was practically no plan for the trip. I heard that a friend of mine from Turkey was visiting Thailand for a business trip so I told him to wait for me too. I was long dreaming for a long vacation. Especially after working the whole February non-stop (what i mean non-stop is literally 7 days a week for at least 8 hours) I needed a long vacation. Thailand was a good choice for this too. Long i was dreaming to go to this part of Asia.
Immediately I made my reservations online. There were some choices to fly from Beijing or Shenzhen. I choose to fly from Shenzhen since it was close to HongKong (HK). I have a friend who lives there. So it would be nice to stop by his place and say hello.
In a couple of hours I made my travel plans.
I would be flying to Shenzhen the day before the Thailand flight and staying at a hotel near the airport. (That part is another story I should write after this one) Reservations were done by eLong travel web site. Then, I will be flying to Thailand, staying there for 4 nights and coming back to Shenzhen. Then using the subway, pass to HK. Meet with my friend, travel and shop in HK and go back to Shenzhen. Take a day long train from Guangzhou (from Shenzhen it takes 1 to 1.5 hour) to Beijing. Get home on Sunday morning and rest till next work day.
It seemed perfect. Enough time to travel three different places withing 10 days. But, God had another plan to test me whether i would be the one with patience and full trust or just become a disobedient person.

Then, I bought my tickets and flew Shenzen. I think I need to write it in another entry.

Living away from your home

Have you ever been away from your home land for a long time? How long?
I have been away from my beautiful Turkey for approximately four years. Yes, time passing away so fast. It was just like yesterday when i arrived to Incheon international airport. It feels like one or two days when i think about my master study in Daejon city, Korea. And now i am in front of my laptop typing in my apartment in Beijing.
I didn't plan any of these. I have followed my mind to go to Korea. I was there to have my master degree. Then i followed my heart to come to Beijing.
It is good to live and work here. But you miss your home land, your own people. I miss to quarrel in Turkish. I miss to hear my mom's and my sister's words directly, not over a cracked and delayed Skype conversation.
But you are away. The only thing that makes you feel better is the people around you. Your friends and loved ones. I am lucky since my younger brother is living with me. He is a big trouble maker but he is from the family.
Hope i can write more later. As being an IT geek to write something long is not my specialty. :)
