Nodame Cantabile - the best J-drama ever!

Some of you guys might have heard/seen this already. My sister introduced me to this awesome J-drama while she was visiting me and I watched the whole thing (all 11 episodes + 2 sequels) over the long weekend. It's funny, cute and sweet...and the music was just moving! It inspires me to pick up classical piano again! I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've seriously practice a classic piano piece. I miss it so much! It used to be my childhood dream to be a concert pianist. I think this J-drama awakened my long lost love for classical music. I really did enjoy playing classical music. I just hated the long and alone practicing time. :) Oh and I hated sight reading. I suck at it. The main girl, Nodame, learns her music by ear and can't really sight read either! Maybe that's why I feel like I identify with her. :)
Nodame Cantabile (live action) also received the following 51st Television Drama Academy Awards in Japan:
- Best Drama
- Best Actress
- Best Director
- Best Musical Arrangement
- Best Opening
you can watch the entire series here:

You might need to set up an account to keep watching it but it's free to set one up. :)

it's faith from now on
The month of May is over, which also means that I've used up my last pay check from CSH. From now on I'll have to rely on the not so consistent income from wedding photography.

My friend Vince, who's a UCSD student, directed a movie project/competition for his Chinese history class. Daniel and I helped him out by taking some shots for their promotional material.

It's taken at 10:30pm outside of Vince's house on one cold Thursday night. :) It was a really really fun experience. I've seen some movie footage that they had so far and it looked pretty good. I can't wait to watch the whole movie! :) I hope they'll win!

We watched Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian last Saturday. Great movie. It's way better than the last one! What I loved most about the movie is the imagery of Aslan as God - He's gentle yet powerful, majestic yet approachable. And he's furry and cuddly! hahaha I cannot think of a better metaphor to visually portray God. I love Lucy's child-like faith and her desire to see Aslan. I love how Narnia gave me a glimpse of what the new heaven and new earth is like. Animals could talk, trees would dance, and we'll be in the presence of God forever.

old entry from April 7, 2006
I was talking to Alex about his honeymoon in Hawaii so I dug through my old posts about my own honeymoon in Hawaii to show him our pictures.
Then I came across this post:
******Friday, April 07, 2006After attending to a few weddings and planning my own wedding, I am now aspired to be
1. A wedding photographer
2. A florist
3. A really good wedding coordinator (this one is not as fun though).
Out of all three, I feel more confident about becoming a coordinator since being a photographer or a florist takes talent and creativity...and I'm not sure if I have a whole lot of it.
******
Who would have thought that I actually became a professional wedding photographer? I wouldn't have guess that I have what it takes to be one! WOW God your leading is amazing!
p.s. I should print out all the pictures from my honeymoon and make a scrapbook so I can pull it out whenever I want to remind myself to relax.
