see relatedI haven't written in awhile, and for that, I'm sorry. Denton has been enough to keep me occupied for the past week or so that I've been back in town. Well, so has Lewisville (IHOP), for that matter. Disgusting.
New Year's Eve was quite enjoyable... the day itself was harsh-- drunk at IHOP hurts sometimes. And I worked a DOUBLE. But that's all behind me, the nice part is that so far, 2005 is off to a much more exciting start than 2004. 2004 wasn't all that bad, in fact, I kind of enjoyed this past year... but I'm hoping 2005 is fun. I turn 21 this year. And I'll only be a semester away from being out of college at the end of this year. Lookin' good.
I'm feeling a little sick, maybe a case of strep is coming on because my tonsils look swollen. But the health center is closed, and I don't really have a doctor up here to go to. I wish someone could just hand me a bottle of antibiotics because I've been through strep enough to know what it looks like. I'll give it another 24 hours before I start looking at that list of doctors my mom gave me.
Yesterday, I went to Addison w/ Jordan. We went to the THREE STORY Bed Bath & Beyond and bought my duvet cover & 2 pillow shams- FINALLY. So, if my room were clean, it'd look way cute. But it's not, and probably won't get cleaned today, so forget it. AND- Jordan took me to Magic Time Machine for dinner, and it was really cute. I wouldn't mind working at a place like that, I was trying to think of good characters that I could play- Velma was probably my best character. There aren't too many well known red-haired characters... Ariel, but I'm kinda fat for a mermaid costume. Ah well, I'm not getting a job there anyway, but it would be pretty cool.
I do; however, need a new job... I'm going to start looking pretty soon. I need to work at a restaurant which serves alcohol, is at least 10-20 minutes closer to where I live, and I could wear my eyebrow/a nose ring (BTW: I lost my nose ring on New Year's...super bummer). And somewhere that will let me work weekends only. I'm taking 18 hours this semester in my desperate attempt to graduate next spring, so... weekends only. That has never been successful for me.
Well... I've filled up sufficient space. I'm off to eat something or sleep some more or do something else equally lazy...
