  • Please, buy me a drink.

So I don't have to grade papers.

Did you know it's been 949 days since I joined Xanga?  I should go premium.  I think I should sometimes because, perhaps, I would blog more.  Then I realize... no, I'll just be more of a narcissist than I already am.  Not interested in decreasing my mental health even further.

John & I were gonna go out for sushi, but now we are not. Pooh.  I'd love to, but he's feeling blah so we're not.  Doesn't sound like his blahness is going to keep him from drinking though.  I love how we do that to our bodies at our young age.  Everyone is so bad to themselves, and we'll pay for it later.  Speaking of which, I didn't go to yoga or ball class yesterday.  I haven't walked since Wednesday.   Breaking my good habits is the worse.

This week has been long and stressful.  TAKS was alright, but I had a few issues with myself more than anything.   I had the worst test anxiety; probably worse than my kiddos!  I had a terrible dream about snakes splitting and attacking me, I'm sure because of the new sign at the park saying that snakes, including water moccasins, have been spotted.  My worst fear: snakes.  They scare the shit out of me, so the paranoia leaked into my dreams.  Then I had the worst dream about my testing group behaving so badly, not taking the tests seriously, goofing off during the test, and I had to call two of the principals in to help me.  To top things off, I was wearing this ratty pair of jeans and looked completely unprofessional-- something I would never do!  The dream ended with me bawling in the hallway, then my alarm went off.  What a fabulous way to start state testing!

    It wasn't that bad.

Our hellion was sent back to AEP today due to something that happened in my class.  I don't really want to publicize it, but it has not helped my stressed out week at all.  He's a rotten apple, and I hate to say that about a student, but he's certainly going down a very, very bad path in life.

My second ESL test prep class is tomorrow morning, then I'm headed to Austin until Sunday.  Good stuff, but it will not help me get any papers graded.  I'm going to need a lot of iced coffees to get me through next week, I think.

My kids love The Giver.   I'm so glad, and the tech people are helping me round up everything I need for the digital storytelling stuff.  I'm pushing it into the last couple weeks of school... EEK!  I hope this works!

Alright, enough.  I'm going to find a drinking buddy.  I deserve it.
