K,

You know you live in the country when you stop on the road to let a family of chickens cross...

The Massachusetts state pharmacy board ordered Wal-Mart to stock " emergency contraception pills" at every single one of its stores in the state. Emergency contraception pills, are abortifacents that "prevent pregnancy".

This all came about when three women who wanted the pill sued Wal-Mart for not stocking it. The women won on the clause' that state policy required pharmacies to supply all "commonly prescribed medicines". First of all medicine is prescribed to treat illnesses. Pregnancy is not an illness, yes it can cause' illness. But certainly not in the first five days! Wal-Mart is a private corporation they have the right to NOT sell whatever they want.

Now you can all say  "well Amy is just super pro-life so that's why she's writing about this" and yes I am pro-life and I think wholeheartedly that abortion is murder. However there is another issue here. Any store if it is private shouldn't be forced to sell or market ANY product that for moral, business or any other reason they don't want to. This is a case of government overstepping its boundaries.

Here's the article where I got my information from.

Surprise surprise this happened in Massachusetts...

What do you think? Should Wal-Mart be forced to sell these abortion pills? Or anything else that they don't want to?

No, they shouldn't be forced to. But did they really not want to? Or did they just happen not to?
