STUPID.
So yesterday I went to the crescent dance with sarah. There was a handful of bss grads, a couple 11ers, a couple 10ers, and a couple 9ers. We got there and there was a huuuuuuuuuge line up to get in (all girls). Inside it was worse. Down in the gym, it was FULL of people. Last year there were maybe 200 people there. Probably less. this year? like 600. they OVERSOLD a trillion tickets and went over the fire limit or something.
Apparently havergal sold more tickets than crescent did. You could tell it was mostly gr 10ers. People were constantly pushing other ppl around and running into them. They had beachballs flying in the air so every couple minutes u'd get hit in the face with one. The music was good, actually.
I saw people i knew - which was great - but you coudln't really find anyone on the dance floor. It was just girls girls and more girls.
then at 11:20ish. someone (IF I EVER FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE I"M GOING TO SMACK YOU) pulls the f-ing FIRE ALARM. Everyone evacuates onto the field without getting their coats. Think about this for a moment: The dance was beach themed, and then we moved out in 5 degrees weather. All the girls were either jumping around and screaming, or clinging onto a boy and screaming.
Sarah and I tried to find people we knew but jenn and ali left early and then there were too many people so we coudl'nt find anyone (sarah c where'd u go!??!?!)
HALF AN HOUR LATER, they started to let people in bit by bit. They actually put ALL the coats on the floor and let people pick them up because their coat check thing was completely messed up. I couldn't get through so I had to wait. and wait. and wait. nicky snuck in and got my stuff for me. thank you thank you thank you.
Sarah finally got her stuff, we said goodbye to some ppl, and left.
IT WAS HORRIBLE.
