Chicago Reggae Festival 2008

We spent the afternoon at Union Park for the Chicago Reggae Fest.  This year, the weather cooperated, in great contrast to last year's festival... we had bright sunshine & warm temps all day long.

The entire Reggae Link Radio crew was in the house, and we had a chance to give out the latest VP Records sampler CD, Reggae Link Radio t-shirts and other goodies!

Here's some pics from the day:

Festival Of Life

Happy Fourth of July Weekend! This weekend we spent plenty of quality time with our families, eating plenty of BBQ and taking a few rare days off!

Saturday we made our way out to Washington Park to check out this year's African-Caribbean Festival of Life.

This year, headliners included Baby Cham, Beenie Man, Gregory Isaacs, and Junior Reid, whom we've had the pleasure of catching in Chicago!

Junior Reid also took time to chat with us on Reggae Link Radio on Sunday!

So anyway... today at the Festival, we sampled the food, checked out some of the entertainment, and of course did some shopping!
