Story of a Puzzle

Christmas 2005puzzle start puzzling cont puzzle done

Christmas 2006

My family put the puzzle together last Christmas. To have it framed would have been cumbersome and heavy. I just tacked the edges to the wall. It works. middle bedroom 2

Puzzles are a great family activity. Once we got down to the last 50 or so peices, the neices and nephews took over. I think you could call it pirating the puzzle, but thats ok. They got involved.

You all have a good week!

Oh... I am hoping to replace the carpeting with laminent wood flooring if I can figure it out. We will see. I watched this house being built and I can honestly say I am a little bit worried about what is under the carpet.

WOW! That is really a cool puzzle!        Hmmm....... maybe pirates used to live in your house and they stored their loot under the carpet! Hee hee! Maybe you will find thousands and thousands of gold dubloons, and you can retire and do puzzles all day! You, Bernie and the gang could do road trips all the time! Wheeeee!                              OK........... no more coffee for me this morning!

I was just going to say I saw that puzzle on your wall in one of your last blogs!

We want to go with laminate flooring too. We'll probably buy a box here and there until we can get enough to do all of what we want. Love ya! Tracy

Puzzles are great fun!  My mom and I used to have one going all the time.  What I really like about them is that you can talk and work on a puzzle at the same time.  Have a fun Sunday!

Puzzling! Very puzzling! I don't know if I can bear it!

Yes! If you have a good slab, there are concrete experts that can actually decorate and etch the hardened concrete to make it look classy - but you need a good slab! LOL

I love puzzles - I got one for Christmas that I haven't started yet.  It's an old Coca Cola picture by Norman Rockwell.  I'm a fan of both - I collect old Coca Cola items.

Have a great Sunday!!

I never find any fun puzzles here.    I  am coming to your house for some neat puzzles.    I love the bear puzzles the best.

I will have to remember the duct tape.    I have to wonder if blue painters tape would help.   Good ideas.

I used to do lotsa puzzles. My dad still does them, with a little help for his guests when they stop by. I like putting things together without using the instructions, just to see if I can. Then afterwards I check to make sure I did it right. Some times I do and sometimes I don't.

Linda...thank you so much for your comment on my site.  I really needed to hear that today.  By the way, I think that the wood laminate would be really beautiful...you should check out bamboo flooring also...it looks like wood laminate and I think it is cheaper.  A friend of mine just installed it and it really looks awesome.  Again, thank you so much for your precious comment.  Susan

Puzzles are great! This year was the first one in a while that my and son (and me a little) have not done a big puzzle over Christmas/New Years... we did see some cool ones at Toys R Us, so maybe we'll tackle one soon.

Yes! Those love bugs are the reason a lot of people get car bras! So the bugs do not get permanently stuck to the front of their cars!

My family is currently working on the most evil puzzle I've ever touched.  The pieces are almost identical in shape and size. I held up two that were only micromillimeters different in shape.  ARGH!!    SO... it is entirely possible to put the wrong piece in and it fits.. just not as great of a fit as the right piece but you don't know it is wrong till much later.  And ironically, it is a Disney puzzle of the 7 dwarfs.  Happy times but evil puzzle!

I have a futon/bunk just like yours in the basement of the studio. I would like to sell both of my bunk beds since they are rarely used. I think the one futon/bunk might make a nice dorm room bunk...hummmmm

If I made a puzzle from my picture and sent it to you, would you solve it and hang me on the wall?

We were just discussing putting laminate in downstairs in the family room... we have also tossed around the idea of faux painting the concrete to look like brickor stone....   that puzzle is really cool...
