| | My parents are having a rough week. My dad was suppose to have an angioplasty done to his heart Wednesday, but there was not enough blockage to do this procedure. They kept him overnight because the dye was not clearing his kidneys and they wanted to monitor his heart due to some dizziness he has been having. Overnight they discovered that his heart rate drops into the thirties at times. So there was some discussion about pacemaker. Last night the doctor says that even though his heart rate drops, it immediately goes back up to an acceptable rate, so they will treat it with medicine. In the mean time, my mom is at home with her mental problems and her blindness. She does not do well when dad is not around. She can not stay with him in the hospital because she would have way too many needs.I can not even imagine what her poor confused mind is going through. Last Monday I talked to dad about all of this stuff that is going on in their lives right now. This is the verse he quoted to me. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far out weighs them all. II Corinthians 4:16-17 What a way to live.
