I forgot one of the dishcloths yesterday.

P2272025

I make a  lot like this too.

I use 100% cotton yarn that I get from Walmart, Hobby Lobby, or Michaels. Prices vary. I try to catch it on sale and get a lot at one time.

I find the pattern books in the same places. The ripple pattern is actually the easiest to make.

I like having a big bag of these dishcloths and watching people try to choose the one they want.

I haven't had much success trying to sell them. That hurts a little bit, but that is ok. I knit for pleasure... not to make a living.

I usually call them dishrags, but I have been told that is uncouth and by all means we do not want to be uncouth... so they are called dishcloths.

Very cute!  We call them dishrags too.  I just got a few books on clearance of some great crocheting projects so I need to try to sit down and do it!

I am learning to crochet... but haven't actually done anything yet. Lots of practice strips trying out new stitches. I have a friend that makes potholders and gives them out for Christmas. I like yours, very pretty!

Yeah.... dishcloths makes them sound more hoity toity! LOL! I used to really like to crochet, but it seems like the older I get the less my thumbs are able to take it. They get so sore I have to sleep with heat on them, so maybe my crocheting days are over. I still like to do counted cross stitch, and so far my thumbs don't complain too much about that!

Yes these are cute too...

I have seen these at silent actions and people do buy them. Does your hospital have a bazarr sometime....oh yeah..I forgot you don't get the money personally but it goes to the charity. Maybe you can slide in with someone at a craft fair. I think people just don't know where to buy them.

I have tagged you and linked you to my site.

Aloysius_son and Lorilily went to bed very early.

They have been acting very strange.

Al_son said I could even use the computer.

Soooo.

This really isn't as much fun, as when I sneak in.

Thank you Linda, for that sweet comment about my mom-in-law being the apple of my pop-in-law's eye!  They are very sweet people and I'm very blessed to be part of their family!

Well, I like these dishcloths!  I need to try my hand at knitting/crocheting again ... and you know, they'd go well with the bars of my soap that I sell ... we could also call them 'washcloths', couldn't we?!  My hubby just calls them 'rags', at least the ones for the kitchen!!  I call them 'dishrags'... but no, we don't want to be 'uncouth', so, I'll call them 'dishcloths', too ... I'll just sound more 'hoity-toity', that's all!!

Enjoy your evening there!!

You're awesome!

I like that one, too. I have also used that pattern in crocheting afghans. But I have not crochet much in a long time.

You can say dish rags if you want. Genealogy is my hobby, and my kids say it sounds like a hick to say somebody is "kin" to us. They say the word is related. I think kin is a perfectly acceptable word.

Yeah, today nothing is worth buying unless you can find it on the shelf at Walmart complete with tag and a barcode.

Opps I didn't know they were made of cotton, one of the best absorbing material there is. And it is way better to call them dish cloths....

I think they are quite beautiful.   When I use to work for a nursing home

I had women making them for me and still have it.
