  • I miss my wife.

It's now been a week, and the backlog of unshared experiences is starting to get to me. There's too many things we do together...watching TV, reading online comic strips, playing games, food shopping, looking at the kitties being cute, avoiding chores...it's all wearing on me. Bit by bit, I have to shift out of "This can wait for Beth to get home" mode and into "I have to deal with this now" mode. Driving is symptomatic of that.

It's 10:30, and I haven't written more than a sentence or two. I'm finding it impossible to focus. I was sort of planning to take a day off to play EQ2, but I can't until I get a new video card, and no place I feel safe driving to sells them, meaning, I need to order something, and that's another day's wait...

May I suggest you "talk" to her by sending her e-mails.  I know she has no way to read them now, but when she comes home she will have them waiting for her.  Or do something old-fashioned and write her letters or journal entries.  Take them to her when you visit.
