Having finally gotten the finances settled enough that we could afford it, we took Dusk to the vet yesterday, something we really should have done before we let her mix with the other kitties. She has a severe uterine infection, so the vet moved the spaying ahead to "immediate". She also needed to be tested for feline leukemia and AIDS, which led to an anxious night of worry about whether or not we'd accidentally infected the other kitties. Fortunately, no. Dusk tested negative. Yay! Other than that, the vet said she was remarkably healthy and well-socialized. Apparently, she was sliming everyone and everything at the vet's office, and just being generally snuggly and loving, as is her wont. I am glad she's healthy; it would have been terrible to lose her after finally getting a chance to let her indoors.
