And it's not like I havent had cool things to blog about, it's just that I've been sucked into rpg.net flame wars. :) I'm reminded of my early USENET days, when I'd spend literally 3-4 hours a night doing nothing but posting to alt.politics.libertarian and alt.poltics.anarchist, arguing with statists in the former and leftists in the latter. But in this case, it's all 4e. :) Not that the opinions are any less vitriolic for the subject being less important. As it is, I'm slowly warming to 4e, in the sense that, say, Neptune is warmer than Pluto. I still think it's going to be the
Ultima VIII/New Coke/Windows Vista of the gaming world, and with the news that True 20 is going for a free license, and D6 is likewise being opened up (but not under the OGL, sadly), it seems there will be some serious systems competition for gamers who don't want to move to Fourth Edition. Anyway, the reason I'm blogging is because of two posters over on
this thread, which is in its second incarnation, and is still maintaining its ratio of "something worth looking at every 40-odd posts or so".
NOTE: These are not my posters! All credit to "DarkMoldo" on rpg.net for these!

I've actually been following you on the 4E threads over in the D20 ghetto. It's been really interesting to watch you typing out my thoughts, only clearer.
The thing that keeps leaping out to me is the influence of MMOs, especially WoW, in the design. Since I can't stand MMOs, that's really putting me off (well, that, and the "you weren't having fun before! this is better than your fun!" attitude).
Though I'd say that any game you run ends up giving the players exactly what they wanted, even if it's not what they asked for. I sure as hell miss it.
