• Gary Gygax, RIP

  E. Gary Gygax, creator of D&D, has apparently passed away rather suddenly. I had heard his health was poor, but nothing had indicated he was on the brink. About 35 years ago he, along with Dave Arneson, created a new hobby out of miniature wargaming and indirectly gave birth to much of modern electronic and hobby culture. Everytime you see a flying eyeball or a geometric ooze in a game, you can thank Gygax.
  
  And to add some irony, today is Game Master's Day.
