  • 4e Haikus

Over at ENWorld, someone started a thread for 4e Haikus. Here are mine.

    As Back In 1E
    Players Battle The DM
    Not so Much Monsters

    Wizards And Rangers
    Now Use Same Power Structure
    One Will Be Sad

    Those Who Think That
    Splatbooks Will Be Far Fewer
    Will Cry Bitter Tears

    Bugbears Can Strangle
    Your Fighter Cannot
Sucks So Much To Be You

    Kobold Minions Swarm
Then they die in great numbers
    Pop Like Soap Bubbles

    Druid, Half Orc, Gnome
    Vanish Like 2E Demons
    Wait For Next Summer

    OGL Is Gone
    GSL Waits In Patience
    Or Perhaps Not so

    We Do Less Damage
But We All Have More Hit Points
    This Will Be Faster?

    I Strike At Your Heart
Only One Time Per Day, At Most
    Sages Argue Why

    Behold Beholder
    He Is Very Lonely Beast
    Can't Have Mate In Fight

    Commoner Stubs Toe
    Passes To His Final Rest
    Housecat Just Chuckles

Regarding Boris, here is some info that we learned, that might be of help...

Thyroid problems are the most common medical problem in older cats. When the thyroid is not acting correctly, the cat will eat like they are starving all the time and drink water like there is never enough. You will see a lot more pee and poop in the litter box, because there body is not absorbing either properly. However, cats often continue to have a lot of energy, despite all this. Stress is put on the heart, because the entire metabolism is working far too hard and fast, so the cats will often develop heart murmers. One system, in advanced stages is a lump(s) in the neck, where the lymp nodes are.

To diagnois they will have to do blood tests. The cure is medication that Boris will have to take for the rest of his life. In Chelsea's case, she take it twice a day. You can get it in pill for, or in a gel-type stuff that can be rubbed inside the ear and is absorbed through the skin. The sub-dermal is a bit more expensive, we pay about $50 a month for her medicine. If Boris is not bad, he may only need it once a day, and the pills are cheaper as well, if you can get him to take them.

Good luck on all that! Chelsea is really doing great now and is back to her old self and gaining weight.
