This was understandable -- who, setting out to build a military dictatorship on the ruins of a shattered world, would want anyone with a working connection or some good archives to find out he'd once been filmed dancing in a pink tutu or got into a three month argument on the virtues of Cuddle Kitty Happy Island IV? Heck, even a note in a military file that he'd received disciplinary action for some off-base antics involving two hookers and a poodle could seriously undermine his aura of stern command. New name, very likely a new face....and thus nothing I could use against him.
