  • Wow.   An earthquake.  Quite a shock to wake up to!

    Jeff was hollering at me (for the third time, I think) to get out of bed and get ready for work.  All of a sudden, Dr. Carter started shaking like a leaf.  I figured he was going to throw up or something.  The cockatiel went crazy in his cage.  Then... whammo!  The bed moved, and I could hear the house shaking and shifting.  I think I yelled something eloquent at Jeff like, "What the hell?!?"

    I was worried about earthquakes when I head to San Francisco in July.  Guess I didn't even need to leave home!

    I'm so sad I missed it...  ;_;

    I'm sure I'll have MORE than enough compensation in Japan, though! x3

    God bless,

    Very cool!

    You know, I've have the earth tremble beneath me several times in my life and honest to goodness ... I've NEVER been in the right place to feel it happen. Missed both of these. The power plant I work at didn't miss them, though! We declared an "Unusual Event' (the lowest classification of emergency preparedness and response) for the one at 5:37 and the one at 11:10. Thankfully, nothing more than stories came from either.

    Hey, Sandy! I haven't talked to you in such a very long time!

    I was home for the earthquake . . . insane! I came home for a quick visit and a physical for my new job -- AT THE HOSPITAL!!!

    But, a favor to ask. I had to do an audience extension for writing class, and I was wondering if you'd comment on my latest xanga entry. It would help me out a lot! THANKS!
