| talk about a shitty sunday...
lost my bag [including my phone... *again, keys, id, what $ i had left from buying drinks] sat night/sun morning
woke up really drunk sunday morning with my parents coming for lunch in an hour ... that resulted in me lying saying i had the flu bc i couldn't eat w/o feeling nauseous
showed up an hour early for a group meeting which started an hour late = 2 hours of waiting doing nothing ...i thought i had forgotten about the whole daylight savings time, but now i realize the clock i was looking at ran out of batteries and was broken...
nyc TLC doesn't show records of my bag being found neither does the 17th precinct
most of the stuff i lost i couldn't care less about but a certain 2 small items meant a lot to me :( im n e v e r drinking vodka again. the last time i lost my phone [new years eve '06] was after a night of vodka as well. vodka = retarded katie.
swearing off liquor until i celebrate the big 2 1

| Lookie at what I bought yesterday!...

For ...

It'll look like this...

Isn't it adorable?? Hehe.. I know what you're all thinking.. "But you don't even have a dog yet!" but really.. don't get caught up in that silly detail! I couldn't resist.. it will look so cute on my future Gizmo. And it's good for either a boy or girl dog. I figured a Small size would be safe - as maltese dogs don't get that big anyway, and if it's too big for it when it's a puppy, then it can grow into it. So I really thought this purchase through carefully to be perfect for my future furry friend
So now the pressure's really on for Jon to get me a puppy and if he won't then I will have to, just so that I'll have something to put the new doggy vest on... and no, putting it on my stuffed animal puppy won't suffice. Too bad Gizmo won't be coming for at least another 2 years though - definitely can't get one until I move into my own apartment that allows pets. That's ok.. it's something to look foward to.
On a side note - I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt that I had a puppy and that I was living in my current mice-infested apartment. I came home after work to find the poor little white puppy curled up in a ball hiding under my bedroom dresser. Little did I know that the poor thing was scared to death of mice and was going nuts seeing them run by it. Anyway, it was a really cute/weird dream hehe. I definitely would react the same way if I was a puppy and didn't have the luxury of running out of the apt everytime I saw a mouse.
Btw ... micee update. Since my last entry, it turns out that the mice problem was a lot worse than I thought. One night, I saw a different mouse than the first one, so more than one mouse was visiting the apt. I unpacked all of my stuff that was sitting in the living room and found out that they had gone through all of my boxes and even found my packaged food (it got to my pepper shaker too!). I went through 2 packages of clorox wipes cleaning everything and had to throw a looot of stuff out. Anyway, thanks to my dad, he found the holes where the mice were coming from and sealed them all up. Since then - no sightings of mice!!
Alrighty, enough ramblings.. must get back to work. There's my contribution to you all who are bored at work too!

| HELLPPPPP!!
There's a mouse at the new KuoMo-tel
I guess there has to be a tradeoff to finding a really spacious apt in a great location. But god... why a mouse??
Saturday night, 3am I heard a loud scratching sound coming from the sink/oven area Saturday night.. being the first night I was spending alone there, it freaked me out.
Sunday evening, 6pm I'm sitting in the living room floor putting a chair together, and I see Lucifer the mouse dart across the kitchen floor. I screamed my head off, grabbed my crap and ran over to Jon's for refuge.
Monday evening, 7pm Armed with 4 mouse traps later, i drag jLin back to Lucifer's new pad in a mission to re-claim my home. We lay down those icky sticky glue-y cardboard mouse traps in these gaps in the kitchen.
Then.. I read this... Glue traps will hold mice with a special glue, but they can be ineffective with high temperatures or in dusty locations. [http://ctct.essortment.com/howtogetrido_rsuk.htm]
... Great.. so in this 100° heat, and the dustbowl that the apt is, i'm really hoping I don't go back tmrw to find sticky dusty footprints all over the kitchen floor and no mouse in the cardboard box.
Can you see the resemblance?
[Lucifer, the mouse] [Lucifer, the devil] [Lucifer, the cat in Cinderella]
It's that mean nasty glare they all have!! .. if only Lucifer the mouse was as cute as Gus Gus (the pudgy cute mouse in Cinderella..)
Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
------------------------------------------------ Update:
I dragged poor Lisa back to the apt yesterday (Thank you soooo much!!) and unfortunately, didn't see any mice tails poking out from the traps. I think I almost gave her a heart attack by being so scared out of my mind. I really wished they were caught in the traps so at least I knew they were dead. After inspecting the apt more, we found evidence of mice on my boxes . Really bummed about that...
On an up note... talked to my super today, and supposedly an exterminator was there yesterday! [How come everyone knows except for the tenant..?!] So ::cross your fingers:: that Lucifer and his gang are gone for good and dying from ingesting the poison!! die die die!!
In the meantime, I'm realizing I'm super jumpy lately.. walking around outside yesterday, I got startled everytime I saw something on the sidewalk move. Which means leaves, cigarette box wrappers, and pieces of flying cardboard are freaking me out... ahhH! Someone help me get my sanity back

| NEW KUOMO-TEL:
23rd Street between Lex and 3rd!!
Yayyy!~ Finally everything we were looking for in an apt: affordable, near subways, near food, near bars (we'll be right above one!), and spacious too! Also... its not too far away from my beloved St Alps and St Marks ... two places I can't seem to get away from. What's even more awesome is that it'll be a 5 minute walk to work Haha.. kuo is super excited. i'm trying to be more excited about it but i think this whole apartment thing has worn me down. i cant believe how arrogant and annoying ppl can be... ok enough ranting
next step: buying furniture and hauling it up the two flights of stairs.. yeh.. that's right, no elevator.
Expect to be drinking there shortly
On another note... I saw Kevin Bacon yesterdayyyy~ He's pretty cute in person
