bangalore india

last week i had the privlige of going to bangalore india with a star studded cast of students and teachers.  we spent the first and last day's wandering around bangalore, but the bulk of the trip was spent at the beulah home orphanage.  what an amazing place.  there are over 100 children (mostly girls) who currently live at the beulah home.  they are so disciplined, so loving and so gracious.  these kids love God with all of their heart, and it makes me tremble to think about it.  our group went and did VBS club- type ministry with the kids.  they loved every minute of it.  we were also able to do a little painting while we were there.

if you have a chance- pray for these kids.  and pray for david and shoba dass.  they run the beulah home, and they also run an outreach for prostitutes, an outreach to a lepor colony, and are heavily involved with church planing in their area.  truly amazing people.

here are some pics (thanks Cordell)...

"pappy" & me checking out the city:

i'm not very good at "london bridge"...

this is Dvyia... i wanted to bring her home with us...

making some new friends...

thank you all for your prayers while we were gone.

Man you were one of the best leaders I've had the opportunity to work with. You ran a great trip, even on those days you commanded things from your throne. I'm glad to have served alongside of you and to have been your roommate. Good trip.

I agree with Cordell.  Even on your sickly days, you had an amazing attitude.  You are a wonderful leader and it was a great trip and opportunity to chill with you and the others and beautiful kids!  Dvyia is a cutie who is a dance machine!  :)

sounds like you had a great time! We just had some bad storms hit in TN that you may have heard about, but thankfully nothing too bad happened at Memphis, I sorta dodged it both times, though school was prettymuch nothing Friday and we got out early because of the storms. After we got out it stopped storming. lol. Anyway hope you're having an awesome time over there!
