it can't be described by analogies of picking out a wheat plant in the field, or picking out a fresh-looking orange at the grocery store. it's not like picking something that looks best at the moment, and not looking back at that choice. i don't know how to tell you if you haven't tried it before, but it's kinda like.. finding that secret superpower key that unlocks everything in a room escape game (see you wouldnt know what im talking about if you didnt know what it is). everything just makes so much sense. puzzles dissolve, and things seem to sort themselves out. and this is not something you would trade for another "better" one, because there is no other.
or i guess if i have to put it in another equally nerdy way, it's like finding your favorite version/perspective that explains what you like most to explain, in the world of relative truth. it's not a thing in itself. it's how you come to know things, and the kinds of things you come to know.. and to take away that one element would mean living in an entirely different world.
so in response to pessimisms (or evil snide comments) i've heard, the answer is no. this is not something that is breakable. it's not.. a thing in the first place. you've got the completely wrong idea.. not everyone lives in the shallow end of the pool.
