  • Yummmmmmmmm,
    I just ate the best artichoke I've ever had. When I saw it at the store, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a beautiful crisp green without a single black blotch on it. It was larger than a softball with rounded leaf ends that opened slightly and a stem that was the diameter of a 1/2 dollar and over 2" long. If I had a digital camera, I'd put this beauty on the site. It wasn't the slightest bit tough and every leaf was tastey from the inside out. I wonder if I'll ever see one like that again. Ahhhhh

  •   I saw them like that in the Publix last time I was there. They were about $2 each and were absolutely beautiful. I think they are from somewhere in South America.
  • I think that if I were only shopping for me, I would splurge when I saw a beautiful artichoke, but I am too cheap to buy 5 beautiful artichokes.  Maybe I shouldn't be - I will have to rethink my priorities.
