| | Vegas!!!! So while I'm still very bored I suppose I should do a Vegas trip update. So if you want to see epics, go here http://www.snapfish.com/share/p=464131115999352781/l=48134770/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB . It was an awesome trip. Some things that you don't see on the pics...
-We went to go see this show http://www.harrahs.com/our_casinos/las/entertainment/entertainment_detail_01.html. It was pretty amazing and we're all pretty glad we went. Now I know you guys are thinking.. omg how racy! But it wasn't too bad and I think that we enjoyed the choreography (they really did some interesting things) and laughing at some of the uncomfortable people in the crowd (like Viji) and little things that kept happening. It was sorta geared more towards couples (both something for guys and girls). It was def amusing. Sorta sad we didn't get to go to Chippendales (or another show like it) but it was def fun. We had half price tickets so it was all good.
-We went to this club, Pure at Cesear's Palace. It was pretty fun. We had VIP passes to a few clubs (We wanted to go to one called OPM also at that same Casino but we couldn't find VIP passes for it and didn't really wanna pay money for it). The VIp passes got us in for free. We were initially thinkig about going club hopping but decided that our feet hurt too much to do so. This place was pretty good. not completely packed since it was a Sunday night but we had a lot of fun dancing. We forgot to take pics though. There was a woman probably in her 40s that musta been drunk cuz she was running around slapping random people's asses and would be ok dancing by herself sometimes but would occassionally go find couples of people and either squeeze in between to make a sandwich of herself or go up behind the guy and sandiching him. It was funny.
-Apparently people were very confused about my ethnicity. This guy came up to us as we were gambling a little and was like "Suerte?" And I think I speak the best spanish of the group of girls that went so I told him that Mele was having some luck but the rest of us weren't. He was very surprised that I spoke spanish. My question then is, Why the heck do you come up to a group of asian girls (Malia is Japanese, Mele is half Japanese/half white, and Viji is Indian) and start speaking Spanish in the 1st place? We don't look like we should speak spanish (as far as I know) so it was just odd. Then, when we were walking back from the club, this guy bowed to me, greeted me in Thai and then kept speaking more in Thai. Now... I don't think I look Thai but I think most people can't tell I'm Vietnamese anyways (and not many people other than Asians can tell the difference in appearances between the diff ethnic groups). The thing that was weird about this is that the guy was Caucasian and he seemed to be speaking fluent Thai. I'm curious about what else he said since all I know is the greeting. Ah wells. It was just odd.
-We gambled a little bit, not much. Just like a quarter at a few hotels. We essentially ended up coming even... maybe won a quarter.
Ok, I don't remmbeer if there were any other funny stories to tell. My feet hurt sooo much at the end for a couple days from all the walking we did and from the dancing. It was a ton of fun though. I really wanna go back when I have more time (and more money) so I can spend a few days there so I don't have to walk quite as much to explore everything. I can take more time wandering around and not be running from place to place. There were a lot of free shows we missed that I woulda liked to see (as well as shows that I'd ahve to pay for to see that I wanna see too... but soo expensive). Someday. It was a great girl trip, we giggled a lot and had lots of fun gossiping. Yay gossip! I think people thought we were pretty silly.. we did have some odd poses in those pics. |
