 I hate exams
Midterms are coming up and I keep falling behind on my study schedule no matter what I do... 1st test up is biochem (monday). let's just hope at this point that I almost have enough learned to get a 70% because I really need to start studying physiology soon (test number 3 on wednesday). I'm not so worried about sbs (tuesday) or genetics (friday) but I'm semi worried i won't have enough time to study physio since I've been trying to really study biochem.

I'm not ending up with as much time to study this weekend as I had hoped. I finally contacted the AA person I'm suppose to go to a meeting with and since we're required to attend an AA meeting by the 21st so we will be able to discuss the experiance in class and spring break is coming up, there's a limited number of days that I could go to a meeting with her so I'm going tomorrow. We're suppose to meet with our AA person to try to get their background story and all that stuff either before or after the meeting, the meeting will run about an hour long and the meeting alone with our person will probably be another hour. I suppose it'll be an interesting break from studying though.

What I've been more upset about is handling this bow thing for my sister. Because my mom was too lazy to run out to the post office herself to mail the bow to the string place and get a replacement or get it fixed, she sent it with me since the string shop place is here in Tucson. She kept saying "oh Vivi, it'll help save me time from having to go to the post office and I won't have to waste postage and it's only 10 min from where you live!" My problem is that I have midterms coming up, I'm busy and I don't really have time to be running errands, especially when I don't really understand what is going on and why I have to do the errand to begin with. Plus, my mom has cut back to part-time. From what my sis says, she's basically home all the time and has nothing to do, why does she not have time to go to the post office to send the bow?? When my mom cut back to part time, she really essentially only works 1/4 of the time of the month since on days when she's one of the 1st on-call people, she gets the next day off. Ugh, i dunno. She has all this free time to do stuff but she still put this task on me.

The 1st time I went out to the string shop my mom had kept telling me that she wanted the bow switch out, she didn't want them to simply fix the bow and send it back to her which is why she was sending me, to make sure it was a whole new bow and not just a re-fixed one (not like the damage to the bow is even important since it wouldn't really affect the bow's performance anyways). However, at the string shop they hadn't really heard from her at all despite her having told me all this stuff about them already having a bow on hold and stuff which they didn't so there was some weird mis-communication there and while they tried to figure everything out, I wasted an hour standing there because no one knew anything about anything and only certain people knew about certain things so they kept running around to find those people. They then told me there were going to contact the bow maker (who no longer makes bows by the same name but a different one) and see if he'd be willing to fix the bow and they would call me back since they didn't have another one of these bows on hand anymore since they're no longer made. I didn't know what my mom wanted me to do so I took the bow home with me in case she just wanted to keep the bow witout fixing it since we didn't even know if the bowmaker would fix it for a reasonable price (we were hoping he'd do it for free). My mom ended up calling the string shop again and talking to someone and getting them to say that they could fix the bow for free (cuz the string shop hadn't called me back with an answer from the bowmaker yet) so I then had to go back out there since my mom had decided that she wanted the bow simply fixed after all (yeah.. when I was 1st given the task she was VERY adament that she didn't want the bow just fixed.. go figure. I dropped off the bow yesterday and will pick it up tomorrow. When I dropped it off there was still a bit of confusion as to what she'd been told. Basically every single time I've interacted with these people I've had to be all.. "My mom said that you guys said this" and then they'd try to go verify it and they'd ask me questions and I had no idea cuz I really didn't understand that much the logic behind most of my mom's thought processes about this bow. Tomorrow though the people I've talked to won't be there and hopefully they will leave the bow with a note for the people who are working to tell them what to do so hopefully I can just get in there, grab the bow and come back without any problems. Woulda just been easier for her to have sent it to them and spent the time on the phone with them telling them what she wants instead of sending it with me when I don't know what she wants and I don't have time to do this. grr.

man, it's been a while since I've had a decent rant... this one was still pretty mellow. I can't wait for spring break! I'm sick of studying!
