 Over the Hedge!
I went to go see Over the Hedge yeaterday. It was HILARIOUS! I definitely recommend it if you want a nice, fun time without a whole lot of thinking involved. I'm on a movie watching roll!! I love summer! I forgot how fun and relaxing it could be!

I've tried making a couple of Vietnamese recipes for Brendan without having tried it out at home 1st to see how well it turned out or how easy it was. Needless to say, I've made quite a mess of the kitchen and I'm sort of disappointed in the recipes. I need to find out how to make these dishes from my grandma but I can't get real measurements out of her which makes things hard to make. I tried to make Banh Xeo and Bun Bo Hue for Brendan but they definitely didn't turn out as good as the ones my relatives make. Tonight I'm going to attempt to make Pho Xao which maybe I won't have as high of expectations for since no one in my family is an expert at that dish. I'm also making Mi Xao Don for lunch but that shouldn't be as difficult.

I love cooking! I just hate having people eat food that I haven't tried out only on myself yet cuz it invariably goes wrong! Good thing B's such a good sport and tells me all my food tastes good even if it's not true.

i didn't think over the hedge was that great.  not as good as shrek or ice age.  the turtle was really cute, though.

Chao Long is good stuff!  Bac Dung in San Jose is the best cook.  You can ask her for recipes & she'll give you exact proportions.
