This pointless uninspired entry is dedicated to Michelle!  Who will personally dent my face in and steal the rest of my life savings if I don't portray her as the epitome of all that's great in the world.  So she is.  And she is definitely more of a suck-up than I.  Come on now, think about it?

Here it begins.  I am at one of those low points of my life that are fertile breeding grounds for those bittersweet epiphanies that boring people are all so fond of.  These past few weeks I have been experiencing a bottled-up mental/physical breakdown.

I contracted a bad case of the flu, starting from Thursday 10/16.  As of this moment, those viral reserves are still fighting my immune system.  I actually called in sick to my internship last Wednesday, which is very unlike me, I'm never absent.

I have an awful headache today.  Yesterday, I limped haphazardly out of math class to rush to the nurse's office.  Yes, the nurse's office, where I have never willingly set foot.  I had excruciating pains in my lower left abdomen, which I thought was the onset of appendicitis, or even a kidney stone.  But no, nothing so glamorous befell me.  My pain was given a label of either ovulation cramps or gas pains, how humiliating.  I was writhing in pain for three hours (eyes twitching and teeth clenching) and I wasn't given proper credit for my misery.

Worse still is all the pressure on my mental health.  Early deadlines are charging towards the stationary me.  My parents are giving me the hardest time with my essay.  They don't understand my creative angle.  And of course they're forcing me to dumb it down and simplify it for them.  According to them, college admissions counselors consist of 4 white-bread foreign scientists and 1 eccentric English professor.

And my mom is obsessed with the word "malicious."  She looked it up and now she thinks I'm not getting into college because I used it in my essay.  My mom's mind comprehends words only.  Her understanding is completely fragmented to keywords.  It's torture carrying on a conversation with her about the news.  The headline of an article could be "Bush Under-Fire in Iraq Parliament," and she'd rush towards my dad in glee and say "I hope those bombs killed him!"

I will interrupt my rant with a public service announcement.  Don't ever plan to copy someone's homework, especially lab reports.  If you must do it, then do it as a last resort.  The least sleep I have gotten all school year was 3.5 hours.  Do you know what uber-important assignment I was working on?  An overdue lab report that I was "copying" off from someone else.  I learned my lesson.  I'll do my own work, save time, and save sanity.  And I will never go hungry again.

I'm not in the right state of mind now.  Please watch out for when I:

1) Drone on about some obscure topic, lose my place, digress, pause as my train of thought runs me over and leaves skid marks in my mind.  Start over thinking it's a fresh topic.

2) Have a sudden outburst of anger.  And yell at you for looking at me for 2 seconds too long, when you're actually asking me a question or wondering if I'm okay.  I'll answer your question now, I'm not.

3) Catatonize.

My apologies.  Next week I will reform.  Three field trips (Total: 5 days) and an internship day should cheer me up.  I just hope it doesn't exhaust me.
