Summer and Stuff
An overlyanticipated summer lingers in the near future. Exactly three weeks off, I will no longer be a junior here at Oney. I will rule the school, meaning I will be a senior. At the risk of being labeled 'nostalgic,' I will skip the part where I go into detail about 'remembering the day I walked in 676 Hulbert Hall like it was yesterday.' Instead, I'll fast forward to this summer, where fear and eagerness occupy a full half of my brain.
This summer, from what I've heard will happen, is bound one of the most memorable ones I have yet to experience.
Puerto Rico will mark my first vacation in a foreign country. Putting aside the fact that I'm spending most of it at my cousin's wedding -with the wedding, reception and the following day reception, I'm all too much waiting to head to the beach, to mingle with the natives, and do everything else an obnoxious tourist is supposed to do whilst on vacation.
Two years ago, this summer had one very special night, which -no matter what happened the following day- will go down in history as one of my all-time favorites. The point of this summer is to top that with another party. We'll see what happens.
Every three years, Father Plume, an old family friend, visits us for a summer. He's getting older, everyone does, but he still remains charming, sweet and kind. How he does this around my family is beyond me.
OK, it took me all day to write this, so if you don't like, tough nuggies.
Well, that's all I have for ya. Later kids!
