Life is not a Disney movie
Life is not a disney movie. Dont I know it? I was rejected by both grad schools to which I applied, so now I am looking for alternatives. A job is number one on the list, so I am taking care of that in the upcoming week. Second would be alternative grad schools, all of which are in NYC/Boston. I will live in the city, no matter how long it takes me. And third would be a program known as Teach NYC, where students earn their degrees while teaching underpriviliged kids. There is more to it than that, but that is the overall geist.
I have done a little research on all three options and will make the next move as of next week. I really dont have the heart to do anything other than writing today. To ease my woes, I am embarking on a journey to the Source Mall, where I will shop my eyes out, in hopes that I will feel better about this whole situation.

I'm sorry you got rejected from both grad schools you applied to. Good luck to whatever you decide to do. You might want to look at Stony Brook even though it's on Long Island and not in New York City.
