  • The consistency of career rejection astounds me.  It seems no one will give me a chance.  My mother assures me it is due to the fact that I possess a lack of experience and that eventually someone will present an opportunity to me, but how can I believe that with no chances offered?

I guess I must be patient and expand my search.  I am sticking to my current career goal of teaching at a college level.  Creative writing or some sort of English other than Brit Lit would be ideal.  Right now, I'm on journalismjobs.com and searching for some freelance writing jobs.  I figure since I have no job skills other than writing, I might as well search for something useful w/ it.

So, that was just a small update.  More later.

aww. im so sorry to hear that! dont worry though. things will get better. it took me a year to find a job. its very rough out there. just keep on pushing. i know how you feel. you may just have to start looking for pt office work to support yourself while you are looking for a job writing. at least you will feel good about having extra money. DON'T GIVE UPPPP!

Out here, no one teaches at college level (from community college on up) without a master's degree.  And depending on the field, not unless a Ph.D.  Have you looked into the resources your college had.  If I remember correctly, you just graduated.  They should have some sort of resume service for writing them and job files listed.
