• Making Mud

  On Sunday Jayesun preached at 2 morning services and so needless to say Gracie got a little antsy.  When she gets this way I usually find an outlet for her.  This Sunday I took her outside where there was  a little girl around the age of 6 playing in a pile of sand with a plastic bowl,  a spoon and some paper cups.  Gracie really wanted to play with her, but as I looked up I saw a little boy around the age of 4 who was standing directly behind the girl.  As I looked up at him I noticed that he was holding a paper cup and peeing into it.  I turned and walked away with Gracie.  But, when I came back I noticed that he had carefully put his "cup" next to his pile of sand and with his spoon was scooping the pee onto the sand and mixing it to make mud.  Not being a very level surface, the "cup" spilled over and all the sand around him became wet.  It was at that time when I decided to take Gracie back into church and that no she couldn't play in the sand "mud" today.  It kind of makes me think back to when I was kid playing in the sand and making mud pies with the neighbor boys....was that really water?
